Company History
2008
BPI has had a busy year in 2008 - launching full E-commerce language sites and online marketing campaigns for Tomy Europe and delivered a highly accessible, educational site for World War II for National Archives. Our new clients include Silver Cross, Raymarine, HMS Belfast, publishers Simon and Schuster and the FSA.
We have also created fantastic campaigns for our longer term clients such as Wall of Kisses and Cookie Jar for Jacqueline Wilson through Random House, an interactive Victorian House tour for the Geffrye Museum and games for CiTV to name a few. We have delivered successful search engine optimisation and online marketing campaigns for many of our retail clients.
We have continued to develop our Amber suite of solutions, enhancing our E-Commerce server, CRM and CMS solutions and helped many of our clients increase traffic and conversions through online marketing.
2007
New clients in 2007 include Random House, TNT, Lil-lets, Life-Marques, Character Options and TP Toys. The focus for 2007 was on quality, and as well as retaining Continuous Professional Development Accreditation from the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA), the company became members of the Direct Marketing Association UK (DMA).
2006
This year has seen Big Picture Interactive grow even bigger with an expanding client roster, including Tomy, VTech, the Department of Trade and Industry, the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority and EC&O - Earls Court and Olympia.
Continuous Professional Development Accreditation was received from the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA), and Account Manager Lisa Warn has gained the Prince2 Practitioner qualification.
BPI is now a Microsoft Registered Member and has joined their Independent Software Vendor programme to have our Amber Content Management System tested by Microsoft. As a company, we hope to soon become a Microsoft Certified Partner.
2005
Big Picture Interactive is 10 years old - The year begins positively, completing the first phase launch of the ParentsCentre site in ColdFusion MX for the DfES. New projects include the development of a multi-language CMS for Popkin Software UK to manage all their European sites and the design and development of online advertising assets for Cancer Research UK's many national campaigns.
2004
Big Picture Interactive continues to work with recognised brands, adding Philharmonia Orchestra, Columbus Direct, The National Archives and Vtech Electronics as clients. Becky Dempsey becomes Operations Director with the remit of optimising quality, scheduling and customer service.
2003
Big Picture Interactive joins the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) and commits to raising standards as a professional communications agency. BPI's CPD (Continuing Professional Development) scheme established. Prince2 principles applied to production processes.
2002
Big Picture Interactive is ranked 54 among the top 100 multimedia agencies in a new listing published by New Media Age, producing exciting work for new clients including Signet, Cancer Research UK, Mitsubishi Electric and Ordnance Survey.
2001
Move to 9 Parade, Leamington Spa, refurbishing building to house 25 staff. Clients include DfES, Bourne Leisure group, Guinness Brewing UK and Victoria & Albert Museum.
Annual turnover reaches £3,000,000.
2000
Big Picture Interactive and General Interactive merge to become Big Picture Interactive Limited and become 18 strong.
Education department is set up and develops Cadbury's NGfL-accredited Learning Zone. Other clients include HOLnet and National Maritime Museum.
1995
Move to Clifford Mill in Stratford-upon-Avon with 8 staff. Big Picture Interactive Limited is launched by James Edwards, Phillip Hesketh, Mark Gilmore and Nick Brown to sell General Interactive Services.
1994
James Edwards raises capital to start up the agency.
General Interactive Limited set up to work on interactive CDs. Clients include Egmont Publishing, Mercury Communications, and Cable & Wireless. GI produces monthly CD 'Fun Online'. Later in the year produce first web site for Pegasystems in the US.
